Liwan by Al Ghurair Rayhaan Rotana serves awesome buffet during breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have Ala carte options. Our iftar dinner last day was at liwan restaurant.we got a deal from cobone worth 89dhs.Actually it cost more than that.we had a feast which definitely worth the money. There was also live music which I haven’t seen normally at other restaurants. That I think was one of the highlight over here.We had to wait a bit eventhough we had reservations. At the table we were served with dates and nuts.
They had a juice counter at the beginning and in the salad section again there were few other flavours of juices which was kept in tiny little jars which i liked more.the flavours were mango and coriander, watermelon and ginger, avocado etc.
They had a wide range of dressed appetizers too.i loved the chicken tikka salad.greek salad was also good.we also ordered fresh juice at our table.lemon mint was my favorite among those.
Moving on to the main course, there was Indian bazaar and Arabic section.
In the Arabic section there was hot mezzeh to start with. Then there was lamb and spinach stew.mixed grill which comprised of mutton, chicken kebabs.Harees etc.harees was finger lickin good.
There was also pasta with tomato sauce, grilled potato, chicken carving.
In the Indian bazaar chicken biryani was the one I liked.it was served along with raita and pappad.vegetable korma was good too with naan..there was few others too which I couldn’t taste since there was no space for the desserts in me.
In the desserts section,I got to taste the chocolate mousse which was yummy.
I forgot to mention about the live stations for shawarma,Turkish coffee.
To sum up a great experience.sad that I dint have space enough to try out all their dishes.
