Local Bites Café as the name suggest is a place to hang out with friends in Jumeirah to have some small bites. It was recently renewed and got a fresh look after new owners took over the place. We got to taste some new and old dishes from the menu when we lately visited the place.
We started off with the drinks and we called for the Jumeirah special which is cold coffee with date syrup as sweetener.A good one to start with.We also had a Lotus biscoff shake. It was rich and creamy too.We also got to try the Namlet which is a local fizzy drink,It tasted different from the typical ones and I liked it too.
We wanted to try out the salads too but didn’t want to waste a lot so the staff suggested to have a combo of Fattoush,Muttabal and cauliflower rice salad.i loved the Fattoush as it was fresh and crispy too.
Among stuffed parathas, we opted the pizzatha and mash and cheese paratha.Pizzatha had pizza sauce, cheese filling and it just tasted like pizza .Mashed potato with minty flavour was the filling in the other. It had an Indian touch too.
They also had pasta in the menu and we chose to have Mediterranean one.It was prepared with cheesy tomato sauce, broccoli and chicken. It had a nice tangy flavor and was perfect for my liking.
We tried the Jumeirah khameer sandwich too which is made of special marinated chicken stuffed in Khameer bread.
For dessert again we had stuffed paratha and being a Nutella lover, this time we had Nutella and strawberry filling. It is a must try in the menu and I will go back again just to have this one.
We cannot go without trying the Lugaimat which is a local sweet dumplings drizzled with date syrup. It is something I always have from local restaurants and I quite loved it here too.
Hats off to the whole team for bringing in the changes and giving us another delightful place to spent our leisure time.
