Bean there bistro is one place I love to go because of the pleasant and vibrant ambience along with some delicious food. It is located at the heart of the city inside Millenium Airport Hotel.
They have a well thought about interiors with wooden furniture and some pretty chandeliers matching it. The live green wall gives it a natural look. Another highlight is an outdoor seating area for shisha, perfect for the present climate. It was completely adorned in Valentine’s day theme when I dined there and the vibe there was spectacular. The staffs were fairly accommodating with a good knowledge about what’s going on.
The drinks they serve have some interesting blend and we chose two non-alcoholic ones. Strawberry daiquiri was the first. It was rather refreshing with a citrus flavor. Next was my favored blue passion. The color of the drink itself is appealing. The fizziness gave it a twist.
As starters we ordered for a Buffalo wings spring roll and potato wedges. Both came piping hot to our table. The sauce accompanying the spring rolls well complemented it. Potato wedges as usual having the typical taste and look.
For soup of the day, it was a lentil based one. Can’t recall the name but was not my taste though. The consistency was pretty thick which was not pleasing for me.
Moving on to the main course, we got to try the crispy half chicken served with rustic ratatouille and garlic mashed potatoes. Chicken was cooked perfectly and was going flawlessly with the sides.
Next was a grilled sampler. It consisted of shish taouk , kebabs, lamb chops and some fries. My type of comfort food wherever I go and this did not let us down either.
Last among main course was a lasagna. I would give a 5/5 for this alone. A classic lasagna with homemade sauces made it so divine. I’m actually drooling thinking about it.
Most awaited segment of our dining experience was the desserts section. I have read a lot of good reviews about the red velvet cake that they serve. The texture and the presentation was top notch and I would go back just to have this again.
Another one was an apple delight. Sauteed apple with caramel and cinnamon topped with whipped cream. It was good though but overshadowed by the red velvet cake .
Thanks to Mr Suren Rajamohan for the invite and the warm hospitality.
Verdict: At any time of the day, Bean there bistro can be relied on for a heartful breakfast, lunch or a romantic dinner with some hassle-free quality time.
