800 Degrees Neapolitans Pizzeria, DCC

800 degrees Neapolitan s pizzeria – I attended a bloggers event last Saturday for a tasting session of some of the signature Italian delicacies here. Thanks to my friend Reshma( Gemini girl blog) for organizing such an amazing event and a meet up with some vibrant bloggers in town. The outlet is well lit and pretty airy with comfortable seating arrangements for large and smaller groups. Special mention about the service of each and everyone from staffs to the Manager.
They were having a set menu for the event for us to choose from. We decided to start with the drinks. I got to try the passion fruit iced tea. It was a pretty energizing drink and a good start to the event. . I also had a limonata which is canned lemonade. It was quite good though but I prefer the former.

For the soups and salads, We decided to go with Brodo di pollo which is a clear chicken soup . It was pretty rich in flavors. Next was Zuppa di pomodoro which is a thick tomato soup. Tomato soup with some added spices was so yum. Chicken Caesars salad and Cherry Tomato pesto & burrata were the selected salads .The burrata was really soft and succulent well suiting with the tomato-pesto. Chicken caesars salad was a bit low because of the dressing.

Among starters My favorite was fire feta cheese bread. The bread was soft and the topping was spicy as well. Another one was potato al forno topped with Italian spices. We also got to try ricotta cheese bread filled with cheese and sundried tomatoes & spices.

For the main course we had different pizzas and pastas to choose from. I got to try Frutti di marri spaghetti which is spicy seafood based spaghetti and it was really delicious. Generous amount of shrimps, clams, squid and sauce made it extra special. Next I went on to try chicken tikka pizza which was topped with well marinated chicken cubes, One of the best pizza during the event. Another variant was pepperoni pizza topped with burrata and pepperoni. It was quite good though.

Moving on to the desserts, I can keep on talking about how good it was especially the Tiramisu which was soft and meltin-mouth texture. Another one was a nutella pizza which was pretty light and the bread was not chewy.Dark chocolate gelato was also among desserts we got to put our hands on.Altogether it was a chocolate feast.

Verdict: A place to enjoy with family and friends to enjoy some Italian delicacies at a quite reasonable price.
